Korean weather is like Mariah Carey on a bender

On Saturday, Korea had the largest yellow dust storm ever recorded.

On Monday, it was snowing heavily in Seoul. The snowflakes were the sizes of loonies.

Today, on Wednesday, it's 13 degrees Celsius (55 degrees Fahrenheit). It's warm enough to open the windows because my room temperature is usually only 11 degrees Celsius (52 degrees Fahrenheit). Yes, I have a cold apartment.

However, apparently the yellow dust levels are "high" right now, which means I have to close my windows again.

Seriously, Korea's weather is like Mariah Carey on a bender this year.

  1. So with the yellow dust, is the sky actually yellow all the time or is it just really hazy? It's really hazy in Daegu but that's not uncommon. I have been feeling like crap the past few days, I wonder if it's because of the dust.

  2. Usually it looks like haze, but that really bad one on Saturday actually turned the sky yellow and orange. Now, I love orange (as you can tell by my blog colors and my favorite hockey team's color) but that was eerie.

I think it's possible you're feeling like crap because of the after-effects of the dust. I mean, it's gone but its effects seem to be lingering. I know some people who are on the same boat.

    You're back in Daegu, right?

  3. How the heck did you get a vacation in March? My school basically told me that I had to take it before the semester starts again, and can't take it when regular classes are in session.
